Battery Reprocessing
With the success of Master Meter's 3G meter management system, nearly 2,000,000 3G AMR endpoints have been deployed. In turn, there are close to 4,000,000 lithium chloride batteries in the field. Batteries are fact of life with the continual expansion of AMR/AMI technology.
Rather than ignoring the issue and simply discarding this material at the end of its product life, Master Meter is taking the initiative to change the industry's current mind-set concerning batteries.
By partnering with the leader in environmentally safe battery recycling, TOXCO Inc., and The Big Green Box's recycling program, Master Meter will collect and recycle all batteries.
TOXCO's exclusive proprietary process cryogenically freezes all batteries rendering their chemicals inert. Materials are then shredded, separated, collected and reprocessed for future battery manufacturing.
